Child sponsorship is essential to everything we do. It enables us to act out our vision of: “Bringing healing, love, hope and a future to children in crisis.”
What is Child Sponsorship?
Ruel Foundation has three Children’s Homes in the Philippines: Calapan City, Romblon and Sorsogon.
At each of these homes we accept children in crisis – children who have either been abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned or severely malnourished.
Each of our children have their own unique story; they come to us beautifully broken. Through love and care they are made whole again; prepared to be reunited with their extended family or start a new life with their ‘forever family’.

To provide all these needs we require child sponsors to pledge a monthly donation amount.
How Child Sponsorship Works
- Once you’ve chosen a child you’d like to sponsor, you’ll be redirected to a donation page. Sponsorship payments are processed monthly (on the same date each month) via your chosen payment method.
- After this, we’d love you to get to know your sponsor child, so we’ll email you some information about the child including a photo.
- Every three months you’ll receive an update about your sponsor child including interesting details such as recent outings, current interests and their overall health and wellbeing.
How Much Does it Cost to Sponsor a Child?
The full cost of providing this care and education for a child is $320/month. We understand that not everyone can afford to sponsor this amount so we have options to choose your monthly donation amount, preferably starting from $50 per month.
We appreciate each and every donation we receive!
When smaller donations are made towards the sponsorship of a child, these children will have multiple sponsors.

For privacy reasons we’re unable to publish the children’s full names and colour photos on our website, but you will receive all of this information once you’ve chosen your sponsor child.
